A New Moment. 01/14/2009
O.K. as much as I hate to do this...I feel that I should keep my "business" site more related to business. I have been working hard making a family site for us. I have a page set up for Warren, myself and each of the kids, including a blog. I figured it would make more since to blog "home related" things and the like on it. I will still blog here some. If you guys want to still stay subscribed to this blog that's fine, you still might find the postings interesting. However, if you like my family site at all, please subscribe to the blog there. I love having readers. :) The editors to my sites tell me they are in the works of being able to import my blogs from one site to another, but we'll just have to wait and see. I hate separating my post's. So come check out my family's blog by clicking here. Thanks for understanding. Trying something different 01/12/2009
Random PhotoO.K. so I saw this done some where else and thought it was neat and wanted to do it here. I picked a date and what ever that date was, I would go look in my picture folders and what ever picture fell on that date I would post. For any of you that blog, you do the same, then leave me a comment telling me. This photo was at Alex's 12th birthday party. The boys obviously playing Rock Band. Speaking of friends that don't blog, if any of you do and I don't know about it let me know. If you don't, can I suggest you give it a try. It really becomes addicting. Also, if any of you are on Twitter add me and I'll do the same. Playing Catch-Up 01/10/2009
O.K. so there are so many things I want to post. I wished I had more time to blog because I love it so much. ![]() Heather, my sis in law, just celebrated the big 30 on Jan. 7th. ![]() When you grow up in a Christian home you don't realize what you take for granted, like some of the Bible stories that are taught to you in Sunday School. Heather once told me that she wished she knew the stories that were in the Bible. I found this Day-By-Day Bible story book that had all of the stories in it and where they could be found in the Bible. I thought it was a neat book and may grab one for myself one day. ![]() No cake this time, but I made her favorite, brownies! I usually screw up brownies for what ever reason, but these turned out pretty darn good, if I do say so myself. I couldn't possibly tell you how this got started, but Heather decided she would see if she could still do back bends and cart wheels inside my living room. For those of you that have not been in my living room, it's not very big. I don't know how we didn't break something. I'll save the pictures I took of Heather in mid cart wheel, in fear she'll kill me. :) Macey and Heather doing back bends.Doing some karate kicks.Front flips.![]() I had been holding Macey so she wouldn't get kicked from Heather's cart wheel. She was squirming to get down. I finally said "I can't hold her any more, she wants down." Just as I let her go she ran and did a front flip. She has never done one of those by herself before. It was hilarious! We all laughed so hard. She did several more so I was able to get this shot of her doing one. Stupid boot!![]() This picture makes me laugh every time I look at it. Macey was running in circles and tripped over Warren's boot just as I took a picture. I can't believe I caught her in mid fall. She didn't get hurt, as a matter of fact, she jumped right up and started running in circles again. O.K. so for Christmas, Warren and I made his parents a photo book from blurb. I was promised a Christmas Eve delivery, but didn't get it by the promise date. At least I got free shipping, an extra copy, and $10 off a future order. Anyway, I thought I would show you guys the book. It took a long time to get it finished, but well worth it. Warren's folk's seemed to like it a lot, they even got a little emotional over it. The photo I used for the cover is one of their favorite photos of them. It was in very poor shape. I worked on it for hours. It still doesn't look like it was taken yesterday, but if you compare the two I think it looks pretty good. Through the Years - With James and Phyllis HamiltonBefore and After photo.![]() Here is another photo I had to work on some. Not as bad as the other one, but this is partly why it took so long. Almost every photo had to be scanned and edited. I am in the process of writing my own book. Sounds important, doesn't it. :) It's about Warren and myself, and all of the things we've been through together. I'm getting close to being finished, I think. I keep finding more stuff to add each time I think I'm done. I can't wait until it's finished and I have it in my hands. I don't suppose anyone will want to read it, except for Warren and I, and hopefully the kids. I plan on reading it to them from time to time. I want to have a copy for the each of them for when they are older. Here is the introduction of my book. Introduction I’m writing this book primarily for my kids, Warren and myself. Having four kids, you’re bound to have tons of memorable moments. You assume you’ll remember them all. Sadly, I find myself slowly forgetting the small details of some of those things I thought I would never forget. One day I hope my kids will look back on this book and be able to share these stories with their own kids. I couldn’t possibly list every detail of our lives, but I have tried to list the important ones along with the funny ones. Some of the stories I’ve included are how Warren and I met, the births of our four beautiful children and all the thoughts I had (good and bad), funny moments from each child that should never be forgotten and how we came up with all their names. I have expressed things in my writing that I never would have said otherwise. I have been honest in all of my thoughts, worries and happiness throughout this book. I hope you find it entertaining. You may even be mentioned in this book. I have been truly blessed with a wonderful family, and I hope you enjoy this short tour through my dream-turned-reality. ![]() Yesterday, Jan. 1st Warren and I celebrated our 13th anniversary. Wow, I can't believe it's been that long. At first I didn't think we were going to be able to go out, but Heather, my sis in law, came through. Our first stop was to grab a bite to eat. I had 2 free coupons for a Firehouse sub. Here's a picture of our lovely meal. ![]() Our next stop was to go and take a picture of us at the very same spot we shared our first kiss. Awwwwwww, I know, ain't that sweet. ![]() Next we walk around Books A Million for a little while and enjoyed a peppermint hot chocolate. Those are so yummy! ![]() We then went to see the movie Valkyrie. Thank you Heather:) She gave us a gift card to the cinemas. So far, a free meal and a free flick. Not bad huh! Warren, thank you for 13 wonderful years together. You truly are a wonderful man. I am so lucky to have you. Our Christmas 12/25/2008
This was fun and chaotic all at the same time. This photo here was our 15th take...Not too bad. We left Santa a cinnamon bun and milk, hung the Santa key and threw out some food for the reindeer's. The kids were ready to go to bed by 9 pm but I made them hold out until 10. Once in bed they could not go to sleep. I think they passed out at around midnight. Allison woke up at 5 am and by 7 am decided it was time to get the rest of us up. It was time! ![]() He left us a letter. He filled our stockings. ![]() He filled Alex's stocking with a bunch of one dollar bills. He left presents too! ![]() The kids drew names among themselves. Alex got Madison's name and bought her a princess tiara. He knows her too well. ![]() Madison drew Allison's name. She spent a very long time picking out the right color and details for this t-shirt she got Allison. ![]() Allison got Alex' s name. She picked out a guy that had removable arms, legs and head, I think. They all enjoyed this so much. They really took the time to pick out what they thought the other one would like. Macey loves to pick up photo frames and hug and kiss them, so I thought I would make her a photo book of her very own. Macey saw this Jack-In-The-Box in the store and loved it. ![]() A gift they could all open. ![]() Allison's reaction after seeing Animal Crossing. ![]() WooHoo! Guitar Hero for her DS. ![]() Guitar Hero World Tour. ![]() Yep, it's an electric guitar. ![]() Ahhh, nothing like some homemade Monkey Bread to nibble on after present opening. Man I tell you, I wasn't sure how we were gonna pull Christmas off this year, but we did it. They didn't get as much as they were use to getting, but they still got plenty. I actually think they seemed to enjoy this Christmas more than other Christmas' when they had so many gifts it was days before they got to play with all of their stuff. What happened to one of my posts???? 12/20/2008
