Our Christmas 12/25/2008

This was fun and chaotic all at the same time.  This photo here was our 15th take...Not too bad.

We left Santa a cinnamon bun and milk, hung the Santa key and threw out some food for the reindeer's.  The kids were ready to go to bed by 9 pm but I made them hold out until 10.  Once in bed they could not go to sleep.  I think they passed out at around midnight.  Allison woke up at 5 am and by 7 am decided it was time to get the rest of us up.  It was time!

He left us a letter.

He filled our stockings.

He filled Alex's stocking with a bunch of one dollar bills.

He left presents too!

The kids drew names among themselves.  Alex got Madison's name and bought her a princess tiara.  He knows her too well.

Funny story.  Warren and Alex went to shop for Madison's gift.  While Alex was holding this princess tiara at the check out counter, Warren looked at Alex and said "are you sure you wouldn't rather have a football son?"  He can be so cruel sometimes, LOL.

Madison drew Allison's name.  She spent a very long time picking out the right color and details for this t-shirt she got Allison.

Allison got Alex' s name.  She picked out a guy that had removable arms, legs and head, I think.  They all enjoyed this so much.  They really took the time to pick out what they thought the other one would like.

Macey loves to pick up photo frames and hug and kiss them, so I thought I would make her a photo book of her very own.

Macey saw this Jack-In-The-Box in the store and loved it.

A gift they could all open.

Animal Crossing!

Allison's reaction after seeing Animal Crossing.

Madison basically had the same reaction.

WooHoo!  Guitar Hero for her DS.

She already had this game beat before supper time.

Guitar Hero World Tour.

I still say Rock Band is the best:)

Yep, it's an electric guitar.

I think we actually had him fooled thinking he wasn't gonna get this... Until he saw the box that is.

Ahhh, nothing like some homemade Monkey Bread to nibble on after present opening.  Man I tell you, I wasn't sure how we were gonna pull Christmas off this year, but we did it.  They didn't get as much as they were use to getting, but they still got plenty.  I actually think they seemed to enjoy this Christmas more than other Christmas' when they had so many gifts it was days before they got to play with all of their stuff.

I had so many things go wrong the last few days before Christmas I thought I was going to pull my hair out.  Starting with my Christmas cards and ending with a very special gift I made/ordered not getting here on time.  But, it's all over with.  We had a wonderful Christmas and lot's to be thankful for.  I hope you all had a wonderful time as well.  Here's to a new year and our 13th anniversary coming up on Jan. 1

Awdrey, these pics are so much fun! I think it's great the kids drew names for each other this year. Santa's letter is special as well. I'm not sure if he actually does that for just everybody! Also...in the pic of Alex standing up and smiling with his guitar, I can't believe how much he looks like Warren. I can see Warren all in him in that pic!

Awdrey, I love all the Christmas the pics and the comments. My favorite is Macey with the book you made for her. God bless you all.
